Computer K.I.A. (Nooooooooooooo...)

Posted by Ivan-Ether Apr. 19, 2008 @ 12:00 AM EDT

So my music computer is busted right now. Bad sector in the hard drive. Once again I failed to back up all my FL files. What does this mean?

1) My Defraction demo song I was redoing will probably stay how it is for a looooooong time.

2) I won't be able to do anything music-wise for the next week or until I actually find out what's wrong with my computer and actually fix it.

3) I'm pissed in general.

The only good thing(s) I got out of my computer dying is a new motherboard and a 9600 GT :B.

Also I wanted to post this a while ago. I got a ton of Pro Audio equipment for recording and stuff like that. Expect to hear VOCALS and that good stuff in some songs, although, I probably won't start doing that right away.

I will update when my computer is fixed.

I dunno about the motherboard, but two graphics cards really worth the money in the mid-end spectrum right now are MSI's 8600 Twin Turbo (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product .aspx?Item=N82E16814127306&Tpk=86 00%2btwin%2bturbo) and also the MSI manufactured 9600 GT with its funky cooling system (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product .aspx?Item=N82E16814127333).

I'm a bit of a computer buff when it comes to game-related accessories, but either of those can and will fit your needs on most games, of course the 9600 better than the 8600, but the 8600 is a lot cheaper. Figured some advice might help lower the pain of your fried computer ;)

Looking forward to the new stuff once your computer is good to go :D

I hope you'll be back soon. I needs my audio fix, man.

Good to see that your not dead! ^_^
Once you get back in the game, maybe ask ParagonX9 about a colab? I bet you two could cook up some serious chaos in the audio section...;)
